Nowadays, many people are using drum pads with there electronic drum set. The main reason is that electronic drum set is more silent than the normal drum set. You can listen to the sound of your electronic drums on your own by using head phones. Electronic drum set commonly consists of four drum pads, a hi-hat pad, and hi-hat pedal, as well as a couple of cymbal pads and a bass pad with the pedal.

Because of the popularity of electronic drums, numerous manufacturers have created their own model of electronic drum set. As added service, they have also started to sell drum pads. The drum pad is like the electronic version of drum head and it can only produce sound if there is electricity.

The controller knob is used for adjusting the drums reverb amount and the drum tone. This realistic pad costs about $150.

Yamaha TP65 single zone drum pad can be a great addition to your Yamaha electric drum set. It is so flexible that it can be used as the secondary snare drum, a tom or a wood block. The Yamaha TP65 only costs $44.95.

A good competitor of Yamaha when it comes to drum pad is Roland. Compare to Yamaha, Roland has wider choices of drum pads. From cymbal pad to bass pad, they all have it. Their cheapest drum pad the Roland PD8 costs $85. It has a long lasting and durable 8 ½ inch pad made of rubber and this drum pad has dual trigger abilities.
